Air fryer tortilla pizza perfectly crispy tortilla crust, delicious pizza sauce, with melted shredded cheese, and veggie pepperoni toppings, is oh-so-good! Made in just 8 minutes; making them in the air fryer is a real game changer, you won’t go back to the stove.

Sometimes you’re caught without pizza dough, but don’t worry, you can improvise and make a flatbread pizza or one of these delicious air fryer tortilla pizzas!

Ingredients you’ll need

You’ll need all the ingredients shown in the photograph below for this air fryer tortilla pizza recipe.

Ingredients needed, veggie Parmesan cheese, homemade tortillas, pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, and fresh garlic.

Once you air fry pizza, it’s hard to imagine making them any other way, move over cheese pizza, using tortillas is a genius way of getting a perfectly thin crust pizza!

How to make air fryer tortilla pizza with step-by-step instructions

Preheat your air fryer to 425°F/220°C.

Place your flour or corn tortillas on a flat surface and spread pizza sauce over, leaving a ½ inch border.

Place the tortilla in the air fryer basket and add veggie Parmesan cheese and shredded mozzarella.

Now, place the flour or corn tortilla in the air fryer basket, sprinkle optional Italian seasoning or pizza seasoning, scatter vegetarian Parmesan cheese, and vegetarian shredded mozzarella cheese, followed by vegetarian pepperoni.

Air fry for approximately 3 minutes, checking after 90 seconds.

When the tortilla pizza is cooked, the cheese will have melted, and the tortilla will be crispy and golden.

Remove from the air fryer basket, scatter fresh basil and optional red chili flakes, repeat the process until all have been cooked, serve and enjoy your delicious air fryer tortilla pizza!

    Store in the fridge in an airtight container or freeze for up to 3 months.

You can also freeze them for up to 3 months.

Do I have to use corn or flour tortillas?

You can use corn or flour tortillas; we used a flour tortilla for this recipe.

Corn tortillas will be smaller and slightly thicker, with a sweet flavor.

Flour tortillas will be larger, and they’ll be a little more flexible than corn tortillas, choose according to your preference.

Can I use store-bought tortillas, or do I need to make my own?

You can use either; homemade tortillas will always be the freshest option, but sometimes with all the will in the world, you don’t have time, and it has to be store-bought!

Pick the best quality you can find, and you can use either a

When using tortillas to make low-carb air fryer pizza, you don’t need to be restricted to the recipe; you can add your own favorite pizza toppings ideas.

Cheese pizza, veggie pizza, or Margherita pizza would also work well.

If you don’t have pizza sauce, use marinara sauce, or spread tomato sauce.

What to serve with air fryer tortilla pizzas

Dunk them in your favorite dipping sauces; BBQ sauce, pizza dipping sauce, sriracha mayo, or garlic aioli.

Ingredients

  • 2 x Flour tortillas either 8 or 10 inches
  • ½ cup Pizza sauce
  • 6 tbsp Vegetarian Parmesan cheese finely shredded
  • 20 Vegetarian pepperoni slices
  • ½ cup Mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 handful Basil leaves roughly torn
  • Red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F/220°C.
  • Place your tortillas on a flat work surface and spread pizza sauce on your tortillas, leaving a ½ inch border. Sprinkle the vegetarian Parmesan cheese over the pizza sauce, followed by the vegetarian pepperoni, then scatter shredded mozzarella over.
    2 x Flour tortillas, ½ cup Pizza sauce, 6 tbsp Vegetarian Parmesan cheese, ½ cup Mozzarella cheese, 20 Vegetarian pepperoni slices
  • Place the tortilla in your air fryer basket and cook for approximately 3 minutes, check after 90 seconds, until the cheese has melted and the tortilla is crispy and golden. Remove from the air fryer and garnish with basil leaves and optional red pepper flakes. Serve immediately and enjoy!
