Recipe notes and expert tips

  • Pre-washed
Buy baby potatoes that have already been washed and then wipe them with a damp cloth to save time. If they aren’t prewashed, then wash and dry baby potatoes well before seasoning.
  • Preheat
We pre-heat our air fryer, but if you have an oven-style basket-type air fryer, then you probably won’t need to.
  • Oil
Feel free to use olive oil spray or even avocado oil.
  • Whole baby potatoes
We’ve cut our potatoes in half as we love the crispiness it gives, but if you prefer, you can air fry whole baby potatoes, but they’ll need a few minutes longer to cook.
  • Potatoes
Feel free to use baby red potatoes f you prefer.
  • Garnish
We’ve garnished it with fresh parsley, but you could use fresh rosemary if you prefer.
  • Watch closely
Every air fryer cooks differently, different brands and capacities can mean that your food will need a longer or shorter cooking time, so make sure you keep a close eye on them.

What do I serve air fryer potatoes with?

Roasted baby potatoes are perfect for an Easter, Thanksgiving, or Christmas dinner.

Serve them as a side with mushroom wellington, lentil loaf, or a delicious nut roast.

Eat them as a snack and dip them in sour cream and chive dip, sriracha mayo, or blue cheese dressing.

Other ways to season potatoes in the air fryer

We’ve used Italian seasoning on our baby potato recipe, but these seasonings would also be delicious!
