Splash of Taste (splashoftaste.com), operated by Maj Media Ltd, is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We want everyone to be able to find, read, and cook our recipes with ease.
The Standard We Aim For
We are working towards conforming with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These are the current international guidelines for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of abilities. At this time we consider the Site to be partially conformant: some content does not yet fully meet the standard, and we are actively working to improve it.
How We Assess the Site
We review accessibility ourselves as part of our ongoing work, using a combination of manual checks and automated tools. We have not yet carried out a formal third-party audit.
Measures We Take
- We use clear, readable formatting and a logical heading structure.
- We add descriptive alternative text to meaningful images.
- We aim for sufficient color contrast and readable text sizes.
- We design our navigation and recipe cards to work with keyboards and assistive technologies.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the Site may not yet be fully accessible. We are aware of these areas in particular:
- Some older recipe posts may have images without complete alternative text.
- Embedded content, such as videos, and any third-party advertising may not be fully accessible, as it is provided by others.
- Some output from our recipe-card plugin may not yet fully meet the standard.
We are working to address these over time.
