How to make homemade pizza rolls with step-by-step instructions

Divide your pizza dough in half, and on a lightly floured surface, roll out two rectangle shapes approximately 10 x 12 inches.

Using your fingers, push dents into both rectangular doughs to prevent them from bubbling.

Brush both pizza dough tops with olive oil. Now spread pizza sauce (you can use marinara sauce if you prefer) evenly on your dough and sprinkle with either Italian seasoning or pizza seasoning.

Place veggie pepperoni slices evenly over the top.

Next, add shredded mozzarella cheese and then lay the vegetarian pepperoni evenly on top, leaving ½ inch at each edge.

Place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet and place in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes.

Cur the pizza logs into 1-inch slices.

Now roll your rectangular pizzas into a tight log, place them on a baking sheet seam side down, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 400°F/200°C.

Take your pizza logs out of the refrigerator and cut each log into 12 x 1-inch slices; using a pizza cutter makes this easy to do.

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • cup pizza sauce homemade or store bought
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 50 slices vegetarian pepperoni

  • Now roll your rectangular pizzas into a tight log and place on a baking sheet seam side down and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Pre heat your oven to 400°F/200°C.
  • Take your pizza logs out of the refrigerator and cut each log into 12 x 1 inch slices. Place on another baking sheet lined with parchment paper and cook for 15-20 minutes, until the sides are lightly browned. Serve immediately and garnish with an extra sprinkling of shredded mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. Buon appetito!
