Ingredients you’ll need to make homemade pizza rolls

You’ll need all the ingredients shown in the photograph below to make homemade pizza rolls, but if you’re cooking frozen pizza rolls, then you’ll need a bag of frozen pizza rolls (instructions included)!

Ingredients needed, Italian seasoning, vegetarian pepperoni, fresh basil, pizza sauce, pizza dough, shredded mozzarella cheese, and olive oil.

This must be the easiest and the best way to cook pizza rolls, they come out perfect every time!

How to make air fryer pizza rolls with step-by-step instructions

Making our pizza rolls in the air fryer is easy if you follow our simple instructions.

A full printable recipe and the measurements in both US customary and metric are available in the recipe card below.

If you’re making homemade pizza rolls

On a lightly floured surface, divide your pizza dough into two rectangular shapes, approximately 10 x 12 inches.

Using your fingers, push dents into the dough to prevent them from having air pockets and bubbling.

Brush both pizza tops with olive oil, spread pizza sauce evenly onto your dough, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

Place vegetarian pepperoni slices evenly over the top.

Next, add shredded mozzarella cheese and place the vegetarian pepperoni evenly on top, leaving a ½ inch border around the edges.

Now, roll your rectangular pizzas into tight log shapes, place them on a baking sheet, seam side down, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F/200°C.

Take your pizza logs out of the fridge and cut each log into twelve 1-inch slices and brush the ends with olive oil.

Put the pizza rolls in the air fryer basket in a single layer making sure they don’t touch; you will probably have to cook them in batches.

Cook until lightly golden brown, approximately 8 -10 minutes.

Cook for 8 – 10 minutes, until they are lightly golden brown.

Remove from the air fryer basket, serve immediately and garnish with an extra sprinkling of shredded cheese and fresh basil, and pizza dip for dipping in!

Enjoy your air-fried pizza rolls!

If you’re cooking frozen pizza rolls

It’s easy to cook frozen pizza rolls (or pizza pockets), so preheat your air fryer to 380°F/190°C.

Place your frozen pizza rolls in the air fryer basket in a single layer, and make sure you don’t overcrowd them, or you won’t get crispy pizza rolls.

Cook for 6 – 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.

When they are ready, let them cool for a few minutes, as they will be very hot inside.

Serve and enjoy them with your favorite dipping sauce (we love dipping them in marinara sauce)!
