I get it; sometimes you have questions that just aren’t answered anywhere else, so here, I’ve listed my most frequently asked questions.

Who owns and operates this website?

This website is owned and operated by me, Mandy Applegate, the founder of Splash of Taste.

How do you protect my privacy?

How long have you been around as a vegetarian recipe site?

We have been publishing delicious, tested veggie recipes since our founding in 2020. In that time, we’ve developed over 500 recipes that millions of home cooks have enjoyed.

How often do you post new recipes?

We aim to publish at least 3 new vegetarian recipes per week, even more, if we’re on a delicious roll!

What are your recipe sources and creation process?

Our recipes are developed in many different ways; they come from my family traditions, reader suggestions, researching global cuisines while on vacation, and plenty of time spent experimenting in the kitchen. Each recipe is kitchen-tested multiple times before publishing so that you can make it with confidence.

Do you include nutrition information with recipes?

Yes, every recipe contains detailed nutrition facts, including calories, protein, carbs, etc., but please note that nutrient values are estimates only.

Variations can occur due to product availability and manner of food preparation. Nutrition may vary based on methods of origin, preparation, freshness of ingredients, and other factors.

Can I submit a recipe request or guest post?

If there is a recipe that you are specifically looking for, then please email me at splashoftaste@gmail.com.

I accept very few guest posts, preferring to work with people I know and trust.

How do you make money from this website?

I earn my money from ad revenue on the site. Those adverts that you see are all helping to pay for the research, development, photography, and writing of the recipes, along with the cost of hosting the site.

This is my full-time job, and it’s surprisingly expensive to maintain a growing website.

Do you have social media accounts that I can follow?

Where do you source your kitchen tools and appliances?

We provide links in our recipes to our favorite kitchen tools and appliances we use and love, quality brands like KitchenAid, Le Creuset, Ooni Pizza Ovens, HexClad, and more.

Do you offer any cookbooks of your recipes I can purchase?

Yes! We have two eBooks coming soon that you can buy and download today.

Is your content strictly vegetarian or vegan? Do you accommodate other diets?

Currently our recipes are lacto-ovo vegetarian focused. However, we call out vegan options and try to accommodate common food allergies.

Do you test recipes for family-friendliness?

While we don’t officially categorize by it, we indicate kid-friendly options and simplify certain recipes to appeal to young eaters.

Do you have a company rating or reviews I can read online?

Our happy readers leave star ratings on the recipes and add their feedback at the end for you to see.
