Store bought pizza dough vs homemade pizza dough
You can buy some really great store bought dough which will save you time.
But there’s nothing like homemade pizza dough, it’s not difficult to make AND you can freeze it so that you always have it to hand whenever you have a pizza craving.

What’s the best way to cook veggie pizza?
You have three main options to cook a veggie pizza; a pizza oven, a pizza stone, or a pizza pan.
Notice we haven’t said a baking sheet, this is because we don’t think baking sheets give the best results, we prefer the air to circulate around the pizza crust, in order to get it crispy.
A pizza oven is fantastic, it heats to a very high heat and you can cook your pizza in as little as 90 seconds – really.
This is our favorite pizza oven, it gives phenomenal results, and the crusts come out charred and crispy – perfection.
A pizza stone is your next best bet, we love this pizza stone, it’s very affordable and it fits in your kitchen oven. It heats up and you place your pizza directly on it, giving you fantastic results, this our favorite stone.
Thirdly is a pizza pan, which is a circular pan with holes in it, the holes are important as it allows the heat of your oven to reach the bottom of the crust. This is the most affordable option.
What are the most popular veggie pizza toppings?
- Mozzarella cheese
- Vegetarian Parmesan cheese
- Goat cheese
- Cherry tomatoes, beef tomatoes, or sun dried tomatoes
- Mushrooms
- Onion
- Bell pepper
- Spinach
- Olives
- Basil
