Preheat your air fryer to 390°F/200°C.
Lightly brush olive oil over the flatbread; it’s not essential but does help make the bread even crispier.
Spread pizza sauce (you could use marinara sauce also) on the flatbread leaving a ½ inch border.
Then add mozzarella slices or shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
Place the flatbread
Remove from the basket, and scatter fresh basil leaves and optional red pepper flakes.
Serve immediately and enjoy!

If you’re out of flatbread, this recipe would also work with pita bread or naan bread (double up on flavor and use garlic naan bread). - Preheat
We pre-heat our air fryer, but if you have an oven-style basket-type air fryer, then you probably won’t need to. - Watch closely

- 4 flatbreads
- ¼ cup pizza sauce
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella log sliced
- 1 handful fresh basil torn
- red pepper flakes optional
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 390°F/200°C.
- Spread pizza sauce on the flatbread leaving a ½ inch border. Then add mozzarella evenly over the sauce, and then place the pizza in the air fryer basket and cook until the crust is golden brown and the cheese has melted approximately 4 minutes.
