How to make pizza salad with step-by-step instructions
For the Italian Dressing
Whisk together all of the ingredients in a small bowl: olive oil, white wine vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, honey, oregano, parsley, Dijon mustard, thyme, basil, salt, and ground black pepper.
We like making this in a jar as it’s easy to give it a good shake before dressing the salad and also easy to store later.
For the Pizza Salad
Add the salad greens to a large bowl, then add the other salad ingredients: cherry tomatoes, veggie pepperoni, black olives, bell pepper, mozzarella pearls, fresh basil, and shaved vegetarian Parmesan cheese.
When you’re ready to serve, add croutons, and drizzle Italian dressing over. Toss to combine and enjoy!
Recipe notes and expert tips
- Salad greens: We went for a crispy spring mix as it’s our go-to salad bag from the supermarket (prewash and so convenient!). Any leafy greens will be perfect for this salad recipe, like romaine lettuce, arugula, baby spinach, and even iceberg lettuce.
- Salad dressing: The dressing is amazing as is; however, you can replace the white wine vinegar with red wine vinegar if needed. You can also use store-bought if you already have some on hand, but the flavor of homemade is always more intense and robust.
