Why you’ll love this easy air fryer recipe
What ingredients do I need?
You’ll need all the ingredients shown in the photograph below.
People are always asking us for our air fryer cauliflower recipe, it’s perfectly spiced, the florets are crispy yet soft inside and they taste so good!
What do I serve air fryer cauliflower with?
It’s easy to air fry cauliflower and it’s delicious served either hot or cold.
If you’re serving it hot, then it’s great with a veggie burger or a vegan chicken burger.
We’ve even eaten it as a side dish with our curries, like bhuna and jalfrezi.
If you’re serving it cold, then there’s no better way to eat it than with dipping sauce!
Dip it into sriracha aioli, chipotle aioli, raita, haydari, or even tzatziki.
Talking of dipping things, you should try these air fryer fried pickles from Little House Big Alaska!
How to pick the best cauliflower
You want the freshest and best cauliflower – right?
Make sure that your cauliflower has tight leaves wrapped around it.
If the leaves are wilting, then it’s not at its peak.
The cauliflower head should be white, with no brown spots on it.
Again, cauliflower spots are a sign it’s spoiling.
We usually find a medium head cauliflower is perfect but choose the best size for you.
Can I use frozen cauliflower?
Yes, you can use frozen cauliflower for this delicious roasted cauliflower recipe.
Cook it from frozen, we find that defrosting it tends to make the florets a little soggy.
The cook time may vary so please refer to the packet cooking instructions.
How do you cut cauliflower into florets?
The best way to cut a cauliflower is to first remove all the outer leaves.
Then, cut the cauliflower into quarters.
You’ll see the core of the cauliflower and you’ll want to angle your knife so you can just cut it out.
Then using your hands, break the cauliflower into cauliflower florets.
Don’t throw away the core though, it’s edible!
We love cutting it into batons and dipping it in blue cheese sauce or pesto aioli.
Is this the same as air fryer buffalo cauliflower?
No, it’s not.
Buffalo cauliflower is made with hot buffalo sauce.
It’s delicious to make and very easy, here’s our air fryer buffalo recipe.
How do I store leftover cauliflower?
Cooked cauliflower stores well.
Our air fryer cauliflower will store for up to 4 days when kept in an airtight container.
You can freeze the cauliflower florets for up to 3 months.
