- Storage
Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
- Important
Different pizza ovens, pizza stones, or pans all cook in different ways. Watch your pizza as you may have to increase or reduce the cooking time.
How to store leftover vegan pizza?
You can store it in an airtight container for up to 3 days, reheat it when you are ready to serve, or eat it cold.
It’ll also freeze for up to 3 months.

You could include some of the following toppings that are all vegan; cherry tomatoes, plant based ham, plant based salami, pineapple, spinach, olives, homemade vegan pesto, and vegan Parmesan.

Best way to cook a pizza
There are four ways to cook a pizza.
- In a pizza oven
- On a pizza stone
- On a pizza pan
- On a baking sheet
A pizza oven will ALWAYS give you the best cooked vegan pizza, it heats up to an intense temperature and you just can’t get that wonderfully charred crust with any other method.
We’ve had our amazing pizza oven for some time, and we seriously couldn’t be without it now.
A pizza stone will be a good second, it’s a stone that you place in your oven, it heats up and you put your pizza on top of it.
By then, the stone has reached a high temperature which means the crust will cook all over and you’ll get a crispy crust, we’ve got a great pizza stone that we use and it’s relatively inexpensive.
A pizza pan has got holes in the base which allows the heat to reach parts of the crust, you’ll get a reasonable result with them.
Baking trays don’t cook pizzas well, the heat can’t circulate in the same way as any of the above methods can. We would recommend that you get a pizza pan (they are similar in price).
Is pizza dough vegan?
Yes, generally speaking, pizza dough is vegan.
Pizza dough is usually made from yeast, flour, and extra virgin olive oil. You do have to be careful with some restaurant pizza dough though, so always double check.
Do I have to make my own pizza dough?
No, you don’t have to make your own pizza dough, you could use store bought or even buy a ready made crust BUT just check that it’s suitable for vegans.
If you do have time to make your own dough, you’ll be treated to the best and freshest pizza crust ever!
