Do I use frozen fries or homemade fires?
We’ve taken a ride down easy street with our peri peri fries and have used frozen French fries.
And let’s face it, Nando’s admitted that they even used frozen French fries, so we’re not alone in wanting an easy recipe!
This means that preparation takes just a couple of minutes, before putting them in the oven.
Naturally, if you prefer to use homemade French fries, then you can do so!
Thin fries or thick fries?
The choice is totally yours.
We prefer thicker fries for peri peri fries but thin fries work equally as well.
Just note that different sized fries will cook at different times.
So keep an eye on them while you are cooking.
Deep fried or oven baked fries?
You can deep fry your crispy fries, but you always get that lingering smell of oil in your house.
You also have to fry them in small batches, so it can turn a quick recipe into something a little more involved and on busy weeknights, you may not have time or inclination.
That’s why we prefer to oven bake them.
We also love to put them in the air fryer, and we’ll be posting an air fryer peri peri fries recipe in the coming weeks.
Just place them in the air fryer basket and let the air fryer do the work – perfect!
What is peri peri seasoning?

You can buy peri peri seasoning at your grocery store.
But you’ve probably got all the spice powders in your pantry.
