How does an air fryer work?
The way that air fryers work is that they very quickly circulate hot air.
If you look at the top of your air fryer, that’s where the fan and heating mechanism sit.
Air fryers have a basket that you place the food in and then the air rapidly circulates down on and around the food.
By circulating the air, this imitates deep-frying, because the hot air, then crisps the outside of your food.
This means that you don’t have to submerge your food in oil.
This means there’s no need to use oil and, generally speaking, air fryers are a lower in fat and healthier form of cooking.
