- A full printable recipe and the measurements in both US customary and metric are available in the recipe card below.
If you are using an Ooni pizza oven
Preheat your Ooni oven to 850°F/480°C.
In a heatproof bowl, gently heat your Nutella spread, either using a Bain Marie or in a microwave heating 20 seconds at a time, stirring and repeating until melted.
You need the Nutella melted because although it’s spreadable, it needs to be softer to spread evenly on the pizza dough crust.
Lightly dust your pizza peel with flour and place your pizza crust on the paddle.
Now brush the crust with olive oil leaving a half inch border.
And place it in the oven and cook until golden brown and crispy, approximately 1 minute.
Remove your pizza crust from the oven and let it cool completely.
You must let the crust cool because the Nutella will become too runny.
Enjoy your Nutella pizza Ooni style!
If you are using a kitchen oven
Preheat your oven to 500°F/280°C.
If you are using a pizza stone, lightly dust it with flour and place it in the oven.
Brush olive oil on the crust, leaving a half inch border.
Place your pizza crust in the oven and cook until golden brown and crispy, approximately 5 minutes.
Remove your pizza crust from the oven and let it cool completely.
You need to let the crust cool because the Nutella will become too runny.

Recipe notes and tips
What is Nutella?
Nutella is a chocolate hazelnut spread, made by the Italian company Ferrero.
This tasty spread was first introduced in Italy in 1964 and the recipe hasn’t changed since its creation.
In Europe, it’s a popular breakfast spread and in the United States, it’s often eaten as a dessert or snack.
Nutella is made with sugar, palm oil, hazelnuts, cocoa powder, and milk.
This pizza is one of our most favorite Nutella recipes!
Do I need a pizza oven to make this recipe?
No, you don’t need a pizza oven to make a Nutella pizza, but it does help.
We genuinely LOVE our pizza oven, it gives that wonderful smoky charcoal effect to your pizza crust and tastes so good.
If you don’t have a pizza oven, then the next best thing to use is a pizza stone.
A pizza stone can fit in your kitchen oven and it retains the heat so that the base cooks really well.
A pizza stone is a great investment, that doesn’t cost a lot if you are either short on space or trying to decide whether an investment in a pizza oven is right for you.
If you don’t own a pizza oven or pizza stone, then use a pizza tray.
A pizza tray has holes in the bottom to allow the oven to heat the base of the pizza.
Can I use a shop bought pizza crust?
Sure, you can.
If you don’t have time to make homemade pizza dough, then buy a good quality pizza crust.
The crust is critical, so make sure you buy wisely.
It’s worth knowing that you can buy pizza dough in stores also.
We’re releasing an easy pizza dough recipe soon, so if you want to try your hand, then check back soon.
Play with the toppings
Fresh strawberries are great as a topping f or your dessert pizza, but what else could you use?
Try sliced bananas, vegetarian mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, or whipped cream.
Any of these toppings would work great on this pizza – be creative and add what YOU love!
How do I store leftover Nutella pizza?
Our Nutella pizza recipe will store for up to 2 days when kept covered in the fridge.
We don’t recommend freezing it, the fresh strawberries will make the crust too soggy when they defrost.

My kids went crazy for this!!!
I made a couple of roasted veggie pizzas and promised them that if they ate all the vegetables they could have a chocolate pizza. There wasn’t an empty plate. All veggies gone! WINNER
Then the nutella pizza! I made two, but instead of strawberries I added bananas to one (as two of my kids can’t eat strawberries)
WOW!!!! They were demolished so quickly!
Definitely a hit!
