You may need a cocktail shaker for one but a blender for another recipe.
Just take a look at each recipe and it’ll clearly list what you’ll need.
What’s the point of a cocktail shaker?
A cocktail shaker is used to mix drinks and it can easily and quickly blend cocktails.
By adding liquids and ice, and then shaking your cocktail shaker, you not only mix your cocktail but cool it down as well.
Don’t have all of the equipment?
Don’t worry, you’ll find some great tips on each recipe, which means that a bottle of triple sec won’t languish in your cupboard!
Pro tips like what to do if you don’t own a cocktail shaker for example.
Just use a sterilised jar with a lid.
Pour all of your ingredients in, secure the lid and give it a good shake – hey presto no cocktail shaker needed!
And what to do if you don’t have a cocktail strainer.
Just use a tea strainer to strain your drink instead.
Are they very alcoholic?
Each of the cocktail recipes varies in their alcohol percentages, so look at the recipe to find out.
Can I make these cocktails ahead?
You can most certainly make some of the cocktails ahead, the watermelon margarita, lemon margarita and the passion fruit margarita for sure.
Check out each of the drinks recipes to find out the storage recommendations.
What glasses should I serve them in?
If you’re making your favorite cocktails then you want them in the right cocktail glass.
You’ll need a chilled cocktail glass for frozen drinks and a champagne flute for a bellini.
Sometimes you’ll find that there’s no set glass and bartenders use their preferred choice of cocktail glass, so feel free to improvise.
Don’t have a special cocktail glass?
Don’t worry, not everyone has an extensive range of cocktail glasses at home, so improvise!
If you’re making a margarita or martini, then pick your glass that has a wide rim.
If you’re making a bellini, pick a nice slim glass.
What’s the best garnish for triple sec drinks?
Each cocktail lends itself to a different garnish.
It could be a lime wedge, fresh strawberry, maraschino cherry, orange peel, lemon twist, fresh raspberry or blueberry.
