These veggie sliders are one of my favorite appetizers to make. They are small, easy finger foods, but they’re substantial at the same time. In 40 minutes, you can whip up these flavor-packed treats; they are so easy to make. I like to make them for 4th of July celebrations, gameday, family gatherings, and even at kids’ birthday parties. The beauty of them is that they are real crowd-pleasers; kids and adults all love them.

How to Make Veggie Sliders with Step-By-Step Instructions

Prepare the Mixture

Combine the lentils, black beans, onions, garlic, breadcrumbs, oat flour, mushrooms, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a food processor. Blend until smooth, leaving it slightly grainy if you prefer more texture.

Tip: If the mixture is too wet, add more breadcrumbs or oat flour to reach the desired consistency.

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into 16 portions and form them into small burger patties. Place the patties on parchment paper.

Tip: Wet your hands slightly to prevent the mixture from sticking while forming the patties.

Form the patties into 16 portions. Cook them over medium-high heat for 8–10 minutes per side.

Cook the Patties

Grease a non-stick skillet and bring it to medium-high heat. Add the burgers and cook them on both sides until they are golden brown, about 8-10 minutes per side.

Tip: Avoid overcrowding the skillet; cook the patties in batches if necessary to ensure even cooking.

Serve the sliders in small burger buns with fresh cucumber, red onion, and your favorite sauce. For added flavor, toast the buns lightly before assembling the sliders.
