Kabobs or kebabs, as they are known throughout the rest of the world, are usually little cubes of meat on a skewer.
We make them with cubes of vegetables and have delicious vegetarian kebobs.
2. Kabosu
Kabosu is a popular fruit in Japan, it’s a citrus fruit and is as sharp as a lemon, you’ll find it used on Japanese dishes instead of vinegar.
3. Kachori
This is one of those foods that start with k that is perfect for a snack and we ate lots of it when we visited India.
It’s a spicy Indian snack that’s made with moong dal and gram flour and it’s delicious!
4. Kaffir Lime
Kaffir lime is definitely one of our favorite foods that start with k.
It’s a citrus fruit indigenous to Southeastern China and both the fruit and the leaves are used.
It’s used a lot in Asian cooking.
5. Kahula
Kahula is a coffee liqueur that’s used to make cocktails, we use it in our Espresso Martini.

6. Kamote Cue
Kamote cue is a very popular snack in the Philippines, it’s made from sweet potatoes that have been cubed, skewered, and then deep-fried.
7. Kangaroo
Is this something that should be on the list of foods that start with k?
We don’t think so!
We prefer our kangaroos hopping around Australia!
8. Kava
Kava is a well-known popular drink in the Pacific Islands, it’s derived from a shrub and when you drink it you feel relaxed.
9. Kecap Manis
This is one of those foods that start with K that you may not know.
Kecap Manis this sweetened soy sauce originated in Indonesia and resembles maple syrup because of the use of palm sugar in it.
This sweet soy sauce is very popular in Indonesia and when we visited, we had it a lot with our meals.
10. Kedgeree
Kedgeree is an Indian rice dish made with hard-boiled eggs and occasionally with flaked fish.
11. Ketembilla
You can find the ketembilla berry in Southern India and Sri Lanka, a well-balanced fruit of both sweet and acidic, it’s delicious eaten fresh or preserved as a jelly or jam.
12. Kettle Corn
Kettle corn is popcorn with a sweet crust.
13. Key Lime Pie
This delicious creamy key lime pie is made using key lime juice, egg yolks, and sweetened condensed milk and is insanely delicious!
14. Kidney Bean
Kidney beans are simply beans that are in the shape of kidneys!
We use them in our vegan stew.
15. Kimchi
When I was thinking of foods that start with k, I immediately thought of kimchi which is a Korean dish, it’s made from fermented vegetables and it’s spicy.
16. King Crab
We prefer our King Crab to be swimming in the ocean but many people do like to eat them.
17. Kingfish
Kingfish is also known as King Mackerel and you can find it in the Atlantic ocean and in the Gulf of Mexico.
18. Kirsch
I enjoyed drinking kirsh when I was in Germany, it’s an alcoholic beverage from the Black Forest and is a brandy.
19. Kit Kat
Kit kat is a bit of a stretch because it’s a brand name, but nonetheless, it appears in our foods that start with k!
It’s a sweet treat made from chocolate and wafers and is hugely popular!
20. Kiwano
Found in the southern regions and central Africa, kiwano is an exotic fruit, that has spiny thorns and is bright orange, it can be cooked or eaten fresh.
21. Kiwi fruit
This fuzzy fruit was probably one of the first foods that start with k that you thought of – right?
You peel it and it’s a beautiful green color inside.
22. Kohlrabi
Kohlrabi is a member of the cabbage family, although it looks nothing like cabbage, as it’s a bulb. Literally translated from German, it means turnip cabbage.
It can even be eaten raw!
23. Kouglof
A kouglof is a traditional brioche cake that’s from countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Bosnia.
24. Krispy Kreme
Another brand name but one of our favorite sweet treats, these doughnuts are delicious!
25. Kumera
A kumera is a variety of sweet potato that grows in Australia.
26. Kumquat
A kumquat is a Southeast Asian fruit, it’s citrus, orange, and is around the size of an olive.
27. Kung Pao Chicken
We make a vegetarian version of Kung Pao chicken that is a popular stir fry dish in China, it’s made with chili peppers, peanuts, and vegetables and has a sweet flavor because of the Hoisin sauce in it.
28.Kushari
Kushari is an Egyptian dish and it’s made with pasta, rice, lentils and tomato sauce – you should try it!
