What ingredients do I need?
You’ll need all the ingredients shown in the photograph below.
When the holidays are upon us, we always love to cook up a batch of these delicious cookies; this year we’ve made them in the air fryer and they’ve turned out great!
What are crinkle cookies?
Crinkle cookies are a type of chocolate cookie that is characterized by their wrinkled and puckered appearance.
This appearance is the result of being coated in powdered sugar before baking.
The cookies get their name from the sound they make when you eat them – a crinkling noise.
One of the main reasons for their popularity is that they are so easy to make.
Plus, they always seem to be a big hit with kids and adults alike!
What do I serve air fryer cookies with?
Air fryer chocolate crinkle cookies are delicious on their own as a sweet snack.
But they are also delicious served with vanilla ice cream or strawberry mousse!
How long should I put my cookies in the air fryer?
Each air fryer oven varies, we recommend that you keep checking your cookies so that you don’t overcook them.
Usually, you’ll need to air fry cookies for 6 – 8 minutes.
Why are my crinkle cookies not crinkling?
One of the best parts of making crinkle cookies is watching them bake and seeing the chocolate chips form little creases on top!
However, if your cookies are not crinkling, there could be a few reasons why.
The dough might not be cold enough before you put it in the air fryer.
Make sure to chill it for at least four hours before baking.
You might also need to use more granulated sugar in the dough to create a crisper crust.
Why are my crinkle cookies dry?
One reason crinkle cookies may be dry is that they are overcooked.
Cookies continue to cook even after you remove them from the air fryer, so it is important to take them out when they are still a little undercooked.
Another reason crinkle cookies may be dry is that the dough was not made correctly.
Be sure to use enough flour and egg, and do not overmix the dough.
Lastly, make sure your baking powder is fresh. If it is not, your cookies will not rise and will be dense and dry.
How do I store leftover air fryer chocolate crinkle cookies?
Our air fryer chocolate crinkle cookies will keep for up to a week when stored in an airtight container.
They will also freeze for up to 2 months.

If you overmix your cookies will be dry Chill
Don’t skip the chilling step, if the cookies are too warm they’ll spread too thinly and you won’t get the all important cracks Pease note

It’s a eeally good recipe! When Ibbaked it for the first time. It was soo perfect and there’s a balance of outside crunch and chewy, moist goodness inside. My husband and 3-yr old finished them off in 2 days! I tried to double the recipe the 2nd time but I got a very dry dough and it didn’t spread as it did the 1st time. Could be too much flour? I tried saving it by putting in 3tbsp of milk but it was unsavable 😔.. lesson learned, just make it as in the original amount from the recipe😅
