Who owns and runs Splash of Taste?

Splash of Taste is owned and run by me, Mandy Applegate. I create and publish the recipes on this site, drawing on more than 40 years of vegetarian cooking.

What kind of recipes do you share?

Splash of Taste focuses on lacto-ovo vegetarian recipes. That includes meat-free dinners, casseroles, sides, desserts, appetizers, soups, and holiday dishes. Where it makes sense, I also share simple swaps for vegan options.

How are your recipes created?

My recipes come from years of vegetarian cooking at home, family favorites, inspiration from travel, and plenty of testing in my own kitchen. Every recipe is tested before it’s published so readers can cook with confidence.

Do you include nutrition information?

Yes. Recipes include estimated nutrition information such as calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat. These figures are estimates only and can vary depending on ingredients, brands, and portion sizes.

Are your recipes family-friendly?

Many of them are. I focus on approachable vegetarian recipes that work well for everyday cooking, family meals, and sharing at the table.

How long has Splash of Taste been around?

Splash of Taste has been publishing vegetarian recipes since 2020. Since then, I’ve built a growing collection of recipes for everyday dinners, comfort food, holidays, and special occasions.

How often do you publish new recipes?

New recipes are added regularly throughout the week.

How does Splash of Taste make money?

Splash of Taste earns money through advertising on the site. That income helps cover the cost of recipe development, photography, writing, and running the website.

Do you have a newsletter?

Yes. You can sign up for the Splash of Taste newsletter for new recipes and updates.

Are you on social media?

Yes. You can find Splash of Taste on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest for recipe ideas, new posts, and updates.

Where can I find your recommended kitchen tools?

When I recommend a kitchen tool, I link to it in the recipe post where it’s relevant.

Do you accept guest posts?

Very rarely. I only consider guest contributions from people I know and trust.
