AIR FRYER STUFFED MUSHROOMS

Air Fryer Stuffed Mushrooms are the perfect appetizer or side dish for any occasion. Packed with flavor and loaded with creamy cheese, these mushrooms are a delightful treat that is both gluten-free and high in protein.

Whether you’re hosting a dinner party or just looking for a tasty snack, these mushrooms cooked in an air fryer are sure to impress.

1. Start by cooking thinly sliced shallots in a skillet with enough oil to cover them. Keep the heat at medium and stir occasionally. Once they begin to turn golden brown, which should take about 6 to 7 minutes, stir more frequently until they reach a deep golden brown color.

2. Transfer them to a plate lined with a kitchen towel and sprinkle with salt and set aside.

3. Begin by wiping the mushrooms clean with a damp cloth. Carefully remove the stalks and chop them roughly. Set the caps and stalks aside separately.

4. In a skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the chopped stalks and cook them until they’re tender, which should take about 4 to 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, then remove from heat.

5. If needed, preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C). In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, thyme, lemon zest, and salt. Stir in the cooked mushroom stems until everything is well combined.
