1. Preheat your oven to 350°F/175°C. Using a 9-inch cake pan or springform pan, line it with a parchment paper round, then butter the parchment paper. Lightly dust with flour and shake any loose flour out.
3. Combine butter and sugar using a mixer. Add egg and vanilla, then mix in flour. Adjust green food gel for desired color, keeping in mind the darker icing.
4. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and transfer the cookie dough into your prepared cake pan. Spread the dough evenly and ensure that it is flat, and then bake for 14 – 15 minutes.
